Purpose of the privacy policy

The Privacy Policy binding in our Law Firm determines the principles of processing and protection of personal data used during the provision of legal services. Our activities are aimed at guaranteeing our clients a sense of full security at a level appropriate to the applicable law.

The processing of personal data in the Law Firm is carried out in accordance with the principles and requirements set out in the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (General Data Protection Regulation – ” GDPR “) and in the Act of May 10, 2018 on the protection of personal data.

Administrator of Personal Data

The Administrator of your personal data is Oziemska, Gruner i Wspólnicy Adwokaci Spółka Partnerska with its registered office in Warsaw at ul. Łowicka 56 lok. 3, 02-531 Warsaw.

All questions concerning processing of the entrusted personal data by the Law Firm should be sent to the following address: kancelaria@oiwlegal.pl.

The Law Firm does not transfer data to countries outside of the European Union. In case of a necessity to transfer personal data to countries outside of the European Union our Law Firm shall inform the person concerned about this fact.

Collection and processing of personal data

The basis for the processing of personal data by the Law Firm is a contract for legal services concluded by the Law Firm with you as a Client or your consent to process personal data expressed on a voluntary basis.  The Law Firm processes only those personal data which are necessary for the intended purpose.

Personal data of the Clients are processed in order to:

  • to perform the Law Firm’s obligations arising from the agreement concluded with the Client on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, including within the scope of entities cooperating with the Law Firm providing its services
  • execution of the Law Firm’s legitimate interest as a data administrator on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, consisting, among others, in rendering services to the Clients resulting from the concluded agreement;
  • recruitment of persons to work in the Law Firm, pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) and Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR
  • performance of legal obligations incumbent on the Law Firm pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

In the contact form available in the “Contact – Send a message” tab, the User may be asked to provide the following personal data:

  • surname and name;
  • name of business entity;
  • e-mail address;
  • Phone number;
  • message content.

Providing the data indicated above is voluntary, but without providing it, it may not be possible to provide the legal service.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  1. request the Law Firm as a data administrator to have access to your personal data
  2. rectification of personal data
  3. delete or limit the processing of personal data
  4. object to their processing
  5. transfer of data
  6. lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority, which is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office
  7. withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data

Your personal data will be stored for the period resulting from the concluded contract until the mutual obligations expire and for the implementation of the legitimate interests of the Law Firm as the data administrator.

The personal data processed by the Law Firm are not subject to automated decision making, including profiling.

We would also like to inform you that due to the nature of the services provided by the Law Firm, taking into account the fact that the Law Firm cooperates with various entities (service providers), they may also become, directly or indirectly, the recipients of your personal data. We mean here the courts, notaries, translation agencies, auditors, expert auditors, accountants, or other bodies of state administration, with which cooperation is necessary in order to fulfill the tasks entrusted to the Law Firm.  Entrusting personal data by the Law Firm to service providers means an obligation of these entities to process data in accordance with the requirements set by the Law Firm.

The Law Firm applies technical and organizational means ensuring personal data protection appropriate to threats and the category of data processing and secures the data held against their access, change, loss, damage, destruction or processing by unauthorized persons.

Updates to the Privacy Policy will be posted each time on the Law Firm’s website at www.otlegal.pl.
